Point Richmond Marina Office Complex

Location:  Point Richmond, California

The original concept for the Brickyard Cove development emphasized integrating three new commercial buildings with a large pedestrian plaza over-looking the Brickyard Cove Marina.

In this concept, the commercial spaces took full advantage of the setting, housing marina-related shops and eating establishments. The pedestrian plaza related the commercial complex to the marina, encouraging boaters to come ashore, and offering marina and office visitors a place to enjoy the sights and sounds of the waterfront and the spectacular view around San Francisco Bay.

While project constraints limited realization of the pedestrian plaza, the design represents a core element of Craig Architects’ design approach: adding project value by integrating a community’s social needs with the client’s project needs.
