Clausen Engineers
Location: Emeryville, California
Clausen Engineers needed a new home office. This site was picked due to it's availability, and central location. This building was built next to a freeway. The design was such as to create a totally noise free work environment. The challenges of being so close to a major interstate, with it's 24 hour a day traffic, were formidable.
You can stand looking out any of the windows facing the freeway, and not hear any hint of traffic noise. The project was quite successful in this regard.
