Mrs. Grossman's Paper Company

Location: Petaluma, California

Budget: $7.5 Million

Size: 100,000 sf

This world famous sticker company grew from a one-person home business to a multi-million dollar enterprise, necessitating a new facility.

During Phase I, the original project was completed; continued expansion required the building area to be doubled four years later. This expansion was planned for during Phase I, and was addressed during Phase II. By that time, the owner had to deal with bus loads of tourists coming through the plant on a regular basis: during Phase II, circulation paths were designed to allow tourists full view of the facility without slowing down production.

Sticker manufacturing is colorful and fun to watch: the building showcases the printing process, making it visible from the main entrance, from office areas, and from the tourist trail within the facility.
